Connecting your unit to an external video source - Input 2
NOTE: To use the HGL 1700 as a video monitor, you will need to purchase a separate component cable set or composite
video and audio cables. To use your unit as a PC monitor, a VGA cable is provided.

VGA INPUT, accepts video output from a source such as a
personal computer.
Connect the included VGA cable to your source, a

computer, and the other end to the VGA input on
your TV.
Press the "AV" key repeatedly on the remote control

to select the "VGA" input. The TV will display the
Video input on-screen as shown below..

COMPONENT VIDEO, the highest quality video connection,
requires a special Component/P-SCAN Video Cable (not
included), with separate connectors for the Y, Pb/Cb, and Pr/Cr
signals. You can only use the Progressive Scan Video Input
feature with a source (DVD player) supporting Component

connect the YCbCr outputs from your source to
those on your TV.
Press the "AV" key repeatedly on the remote control

to select the "YPbPr2" input. The TV will display
the Video input on-screen.
