Processor
NOTE:
The processor spare park kit includes replacement thermal material.
Follow these steps to remove the processor:
1.
Prepare the computer for disassembly (see

Remove the access panel (see
3.
Remove the drive cage (see
4.
Remove the fan-sink (see
5.
Slide the processor release lever (1) to the right until it clears the locking clip.
6.
Swing the processor release lever (2) up and back as far as it will go.
7.
Swing the processor retention bracket (3) up and back as far as it will go.
8.
Lift the processor (4) straight up, and remove it.
NOTE:
the triangle icon (6) embossed on the system board.
Reverse this procedure to install the processor.
