VENTING REQUIREMENTS: HEIGHT & CLEARANCE: • Vent system must terminate to the outside (Roof or side wall). • DO NOT terminate the vent system in an attic or other enclosed area. • DO NOT use 4” (10.2 cm) laundry-type wall caps.

ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS: IMPORTANT: Observe all governing codes and ordinances. It is the customer’s responsibility to contact a qualified electrical installer. If codes permit and a separate ground wire is used, it is recommended that a qualified electrician determine that the ground path is adequate. A 120-Volt, 60 Hz, AC-only, fused electrical supply is required on a separate 15-amp circuit, fused on both sides of the line.

PREPARATIONS: Advanced Preparations: Be familiar with the controls of the range hood by reading through Range Hood Operations, Page 14. • • Place the range hood on a flat, stable surface. Connect the range hood to a designated standard outlet (120-Volt, 60Hz, AC only) and turn on the range hood.

NEW INSTALLATION: ep 5: Venting Step 1: Create Exterior Ventilation • Choose one of the exterior venting methods shown on Page 7. • Create the exterior ventilation hole. • Insert exterior damper into exterior ventilation hole. • Following recommendations and calculations specified on Pages 5 to 9, use new aluminum/metal ducting cut specifically for the distance between the range hood damper and the exterior damper.

REPLACING THE BULBS: Step 1: Important! Turn off the power off to your range hood. Fig. #7 Step 2: Line up the arrow on the metal ring around the edge of the bulb with the arrow on the range hood. (See Fig. # 7) Step 3: Turn the ring counter- clockwise until the little hooks on the metal ring are unlocked and remove the metal ring and bulb.
