Replacing the Water Filter

NOTE
This refrigerator does not require a filter
bypass plug when the filter is not in place.
It is recommended that you replace the water
filter:
Approximately every six months.

When the water filter indicator turns on.
y
When the water dispenser output decreases.
y
When the ice cubes are smaller than normal.

Disassemble the filter cover.
The filter is mounted on the left side of the Big
Fresh Zone in the refrigerator
Remove the left side Fresh Zone drawer

Push then pull out the bottom side of the filter
y
cover to remove it.

Remove the old filter.
Turn the handle on the filter you wish to replace
to the left by 90 degrees (

towel in front of the case to catch the water.

Install a new filter.
Remove the cap from the new filter. Hold the
filter handle vertically (straight up and down) and
insert the filter (

Insert the filter completely, then turn the handle
to the right 90 degrees (

After installing or replacing the filter, dispense

2 1/2 gallons (9.5 liters) each of water and cold
water (dispense for about 5 minutes each) to
remove the air and activated carbon before use.
(Activated carbon is not harmful to humans.)
