Entering common phrases
Depending on the input mode, the pre-installed
fixed common phrases are entered in kanji/
hiragana or single-byte katakana.

Common phrases can be used on the following
character entry (edit) screens:
• Edit text memo
• i-mode mail subject/message
• i-mode mail header/signature/quotation mark
• Enter mail search subject
• Enter auto sort setting subject
• Edit the Common phrase folder name/Common
phrases
• Edit alarm title
• Refer dic. words input
• Edit To Do list
• Edit Wake-up message
• Edit i-mode text box
• Edit i-αppli text
• Enter password
If you enter a common phrase on the Password
input screen, the entered characters are displayed
as " ＊ ".
If you select a common phrase in the security
folder, not the title name but the common phrase
linked to the title is entered.
Entering text by quoting the
phonebook or My Profile
On the character entry (edit) screen for mail, site or
text memo, you can quote the name, reading, phone
number, mail address, street address, location
information, birthday, memo, i-concier address,
i-concier URL and i-concier memo stored in the
"Phonebook" or in "My Profile".
You can also activate camera to scan a bar code and
quote the scanned data.
Data cannot be quoted from some text entry (edit)
screens.

When you quote address information, a space
may be entered between items.
DOCOMO accepts no liability whatsoever
regarding the problem resulting from the incorrect
owner information entry.
Editing/Saving Common
Phrases
Save frequently used phrases as common phrases in
advance, so that they can be retrieved when entering
text.
Common phrases are categorized into 6 folders.
Folders 1 and 2 contain 10 pre-installed fixed
common phrases respectively.
Folders 3 to 5 and security folder can contain up to
10 original common phrases respectively.
You can edit the fixed common phrases. Kanji,
hiragana and single-byte katakana are not
automatically distinguished by input mode. The
edited text is entered.
You can rename folders other than security folders
to categorize common phrases for your purpose.
Composing a new common phrase
You can save a password to enter on the password entry
screen, etc. as common phrases to the security folder.
