Multitask
Multitask enables you to use multiple functions
simultaneously.
Multitask Combinations → p.475
Active task icons appear on the task change screen
(p.381) during multitask. When multiple tasks are
active, change tasks using the icons.
Voice call charges continue to rise while you are
using another function during a voice call.
Activating tasks (functions)
Activate a new task (function) without ending the
active tasks.

Some functions are activated as another group's
function.
In the following cases, a task is added to compose
mail while viewing another mail:
• Accessing the Mail menu to compose mail
• Accessing the Mail menu to compose SMS
• Accessing the Mail menu to create Decome-
Anime
• Using a Deco-mail template to compose Deco-
mail
• Using a Decome-Anime template to create
Decome-Anime
• Using Reply/Reply with quote/Forward for
received mail
• Editing sent mail
• Editing draft mail
Switching tasks
<Multitask>
When multiple tasks are active, switch them or end all
tasks at once.
While multiple tasks are active

When you press i on the standby screen, the
Task change screen reappears.
* You can open the standby screen without opening
the Task change screen by pressing i
(1 second or longer) while a task is active.
