5. Setting up a USB connection
to your Wi-Fi Cable Modem
Any computer you wish to connect via a wired
USB connection will require you to follow the
below instructions on how to set this up. The
USB port supports Windows 2000, Windows XP
and Windows Vista PC's.
1.
Insert the installation CD-ROM into the
CD drive on your PC.

The USB connection to your PC uses the
USB A-B cable supplied with your Wi-Fi cable
modem. This can be identified by matching
the connector ends to the following examples.

Connect the USB-A connector to any
available USB port on your PC.

Connect the USB-B connector to the USB port
on the rear panel of the Wi-Fi cable modem.

The found new hardware Windows installation
wizard will prompt you for the drivers.

Install the USB driver by following the
Windows wizard prompts. The USB driver is
located on the installation CD-ROM.
7.
Some versions of the Windows operating
system may require your PC to be rebooted
to complete the installation.
8.
Once the USB driver has been installed, you
should be able to access the internet through
the Wi-Fi Cable Modem. Confirm this by
browsing to a familiar website.
