6. Installing your USB Wireless Adap
(For computers that don't have built-in Wireless connectivity)
Any computer that you wish to connect wirelessly will need a wireless network card or the wireless
USB Adapter included. If you do not have wireless network card please follow below instructions on
how to install your wireless adaptor.
The Optus CD will guide you through the step-by-step instructions to install and set up the
NETGEAR Wireless USB Adapter supplied with your Wi-Fi Cable Modem.
To begin setting up your Wireless Adapter:
1.
Ensure that the computer you wish to use is turned on and that the Windows operating system
is running. Insert the Optus Installation CD into your CD-ROM drive.
Note: DO NOT connect your Wireless USB Adapter to your computer until prompted to do so by
the installation software.

The Easy Install CD will start automatically and the welcome screen will be displayed.
3. Click on Set up your Wireless Adapter
and the InstallShield Wizard will begin
preparing to install the drivers.
Note: If the CD does not start automatically
in Windows, double-click My computer and then
double-click the icon for your CD ROM drive.
Double-click the Autorun.exe icon to begin.
4. The NETGEAR Smart Wizard will
guide you through the installation
of your USB Wireless Adapter.
Follow the prompts and click the
Next button to continue.
