Preparing to Operate in SCSI Mode
To prepare your SCSI adapter board:
1.
Make sure that your SCSI adapter board is terminated or
unterminated as necessary according to your system's
configuration. (See your SCSI adapter board's installation guide
for information about changing the termination settings.)
2.
Make sure that your SCSI adapter board is properly installed
according to the directions in its installation guide.
3.
Make sure that the driver software that came with your adapter
board has been installed according to the directions in its
installation guide.
Preparing the CD-Writer
The CD-Writer's default settings are:
SCSI ID: 4
Termination: On
1.
Select a unique SCSI ID number for the CD-Writer, from 0 to 6.
Make sure this number is not the same as another device on the
same SCSI adapter board.
2.
Change the SCSI ID setting on the back panel. Use a pen to press
the buttons on the top or bottom of the SCSI ID switch. The
address setting will roll forward or backward, depending on the
button you press.
