CP380

1.3 CP380 Models

The CP380 board family includes electrically isolated digital I/O boards for the Compact-
PCI System bus.
The electrical isolation on the boards prevents interference and high voltages (e. g. volt-
age peaks on the ground lines) from reaching the PC electronics. The inputs have been
designed for the usual voltage, typically 24 V.
On the CP380-I and CP380-I/O there are 2 modes of operation: with or without interrupt
control. The interrupt channel and base address are configured by the BIOS.
The software supplied with the board allows quick and easy installation of the board into
data acquisition and control applications. PEP support is provided for Windows NT,
HP VEE (Hewlett-Packard) and LabVIEW™ (National Instruments) (drivers are avail-
able on disk).

1.4 System Requirements

All the CP380 versions are designed for installation into CompactPCI systems only (e.g.
the CP-ASM 3,4,6,7, Tower 3).

Opto-Isolated Inputs
18, typical voltage 24 V. Two of the
inputs can be used as interrupt chan-
nels (i. e. 16 inputs and 2 strobes)
---
10, typical voltage, 24 V. One input
can be used as an interrupt channel,
but then only the 8 inputs of data port
B are available (i.e. 8 inputs and 1
strobe).
