1. Make sure unit is either plugged in or battery has sufficient charge.
2. Attach the nasal cannula to the outlet. You are now ready to use the oxygen
concentrator.
3. Turn the machine on. You will hear an "alarm" which is normal and will stop in several
seconds.
4. Make sure the flow is set at the prescribed amount.
5. Place the nasal cannula in your nose. This is most easily done by inserting the 'prongs"
first into each nostril and then placing the tubing over each ear. Tighten the "Lariat'
under your chin until the cannula is comfortable.
NOTE: The "prongs" should be pointing downwards when inserting.
ALARMS: Your oxygen concentrator has alarms, which will tell you if the machine is not
functioning properly or is low on battery. If you hear or see one of the alarms or there is a
power outage or machine malfunction, turn machine off. Use your back up oxygen cylinder.
