Key Switch
The key switch, used to start and shut off the engine,
has 3 positions: O , R

Throttle/Choke Control
The throttle and choke controls are combined into 1
control lever. The throttle controls the engine speed
and has a continuous-variable setting from S

Takeoff)
The blade-control switch, represented by a
power-takeoff (PTO) symbol, engages and
disengages power to the mower blades
Motion-Control Levers
Use the motion-control levers to drive the machine
forward, reverse, and turn either direction
Park Position
Move the motion-control levers outward from the
center to the P position when exiting the machine

into the P position when you stop the machine or

Smart Speed™ Control System
Lever
The Smart Speed™ Control-System lever, located
below the operating position, gives you a choice to

You can use the fuel window, located on the left side
of the machine, to verify the presence of fuel in the
tank (Figure

Use the height-of-cut lever to lower and raise the deck
from the seated position. Moving the lever up (toward
you) raises the deck from the ground and moving the
lever down (away from you) lowers the deck toward
the ground. Adjust the height-of-cut only while the
machine is not moving
