[Silent mode let-off adjustment procedure]
Procedure
Check / adjustment of normal hammer let-off
(approx. 2mm from the strings)
Hammer shank stopper adjustment
(5 to 6mm from the strings)
Check / adjustment of the regulating rod rotation position
Check Silent mode let-off at both ends of each section,
adjust as necessary.
Silent mode let-off adjustment (6 to 8mm from the string)
Return hammer drop to the correct position.
[Adjustment procedure]
① Check and adjust the normal hammer
let-off.
② Adjust and confirm the hammer shank
stopper position.
③ Adjust and confirm the regulating rod
position.
④ With the Silent mechanism ON, check Silent mode let-off at the both ends of each section.
-Silent mode let-off measurement : 1 to 2mm from the hammer shank stopping position and
normally 6 to 8mm from the string.
-Disengage Silent mechanism and remove connector in front of the action and remove the
connector in front of the action.
Then pull out the action and increase the hammer drop of the key each ends of each
regulating rod to 8mm - 9mm (if the drop is not increased, jack escapement cannot be seen.
This is to confirm jack escapement in Silent mode.)
- Insert the action, engage the Silent mechanism and confirm Silent mode let-off at both ends
of each section.
