Chapter 5
UDP Port
Displays the UDP port used to send notifications.
The default is 162.
Filter Name
Indicates if the SNMP filter for which the
SNMP Notification filter is defined.
Timeout
Indicates the amount of time (seconds) the
device waits before resending informs. The default is 15
seconds.
Retries
Indicates the amount of times the device resends
an inform request. The default is 3 seconds.
The Add to List button adds the Notification Recipient
configuration to the relevant table at the bottom of the
screen.
Admin > User Authentication
The User Authentication screen is used to modify user
passwords.
Admin > User Authentication
Authentication Type
Defines the user authentication
methods. Combinations of all the authentication methods
can be selected. The possible field values are:
Local
Authenticates the user at the device level.
The device checks the user name and password for
authentication.
RADIUS
Authenticates the user at the RADIUS server.
TACACS+
Authenticates the user at the TACACS+
server.
None
Assigns no authentication method to the
authentication profile.
User Name
Displays the user name.

Advanced Configuration
Password
Specifies the new password. The password
is not displayed. As it entered an "*" corresponding to
each character is displayed in the field. (Range: 1-159
characters)
Confirm Password
Confirms the new password. The
password entered into this field must be exactly the same
as the password entered in the Password field.
The Add to List button adds the user configuration to the
Local User's Table.
Admin > Static Address
Admin > Static Address
A static address can be assigned to a specific interface on
this switch. Static addresses are bound to the assigned
interface and cannot be moved. When a static address is
seen on another interface, the address will be ignored and
will not be written to the address table.
Interface
Displays the interface to which the entry
refers:
Port
The specific port number to which the forwarding
database parameters refer.
LAG
The specific LAG number to which the forwarding
database parameters refer.
MAC Address
Displays the MAC address to which the
entry refers.
VLAN ID
Displays the VLAN ID number to which the entry
refers.
VLAN Name
Displays the VLAN name to which the entry
refers.
Status
Displays how the entry was created. The possible
field values are:
Permanent
The MAC address is permanent.
