This products absorbs and converts solar energy to charge the batteries during the day. At dusk it
automatically turns on. The number of hours the light illuminates depends upon your geographical
location, weather conditions and seasonal lighting availability.

BEFORE YOU INSTALL:

Since this product may be in a sealed carton for a prolonged period of time before purchase, any charge
in the batteries has likely dissipated. Follow these two simple steps below prior to installation to ensure
this solar product will function properly.
1. Expose the unit facing the sun for a full day (24 hours). If weather conditions don't permit this, place
the product with the solar panel 12"-14" (350mm) away from a strong halogen spotlight (approx.
300W) for 2-3 hours. Inspect the product periodically to ensure it does not get too hot and become
damaged from the spotlight.
2. Once the product is charged, cover the solar panel (photo sensor)
completely with your hand or enter a dark room to ensure it illuminates
in the absence of light.

INSTALLATION:

1. Choose an outdoor locations with full/direct sunlight.
2. Install multiple product 6ft. (2m) apart and as per instructions below.
WOOD SURFACES: Use an appropriate wood screw for the application.
MASONRY: Place the product in the desired position and mark the screw
hole locations on the mounting surface. Drill the masonry surface with a
masonry bit for the desired masonry screw or anchor size to be used.
METAL: Place the product in the desired position and mark the screw hole
locations on the mounting surface. Drill the holes in the metal surface to
accept the size and type of metal screw desired.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT:

1. Unscrew the top cap with solar panel.
2. Unscrew the two screws holding the circuit board in place.
3. Replace the battery with AAA (triple A) rechargeable Ni-Cd or Ni-MH batteries.
4. Reinstall the circuit board and screw the solar cap on snugly to properly seal your light.

CHANGING LED ILLUMINATION COLOR:

There is no need to replace LED's with the Solar Piling Cap
Light to change colors. Remove the threaded solar cap and
flip the current color switch to the "OFF" position. Flip the
appropriate switch to the "ON" position as per the chart to
illuminate the desired color LED.
Note: Only one (1) color should
be in the "ON" position at any
given time. More than one color
in the "ON" position may result in
product failure.

IMPORTANT:

Solar Piling Cap Lites are NOT
intended for use as navigational
lighting.
