CONTROL Optimize
CONTROL Optimize is a processor substation which via
Modbus communicates with the air handling unit and the
CONTROL Damper zone dampers in the Wise system.
CONTROL Optimize has knowledge of the position of each
zone damper, and optimizes the air handling unit's pressure
rise so that at least one damper will always be fully open. This
reduces the power consumption of the air handling unit by up
to 25% and also contributes to making the ventilation system
operate more quietly.
CONTROL Optimize can manage up to 30 supply air and 30
extract air dampers respectively. The airflows, which are to
be added together or subtracted from one another to be
transmitted to a slave damper, must be split into groups. Each
group can manage 5 master and 3 slave dampers. A total
of 10 groups can be defined. A damper does not need to
be part of a group in order for optimising to work. A typical
product that should not be part of a group is a type PSFE
CONTROL Damper.
The built-in control equipment of the GOLD unit includes a
function that can be enabled for connecting CONTROL Opti-
mize. The pressure set points of the GOLD unit are then control-
led by CONTROL Optimize.

lers. Connect Mb 2 to the GOLD. Move the termination resistor
as shown in the figure.

unit. As an alternative, it can be connected to the bus contact in
one of the pressure sensors.

Connections

CONTROL Optimize can be connected to the GOLD unit via
Modbus contact Mb 2. Mb 1 is to be wired further down in
the system to CONTROL Damper. CONTROL Optimize is sup-
plied with a pre-wired Mb2 cable.

Settings in the GOLD

To enable communication, enter the settings in the hand-
held micro terminal of the GOLD under the Functions
Menu.
There is a special tab on the webpage for reading and
checking the performance of the connected CONTROL
Damper zone dampers.
