RAN/M- / RAN/BAND (17) (7 on the remote control)
In radio mode:
For selecting the stored radio stations.
For switching between FM and AM.
With an audio CD or a CD in MP3 format playing:
Press once:
The word RANDOM appears in the display
(13) and the current track number.All tracks
are played back in random order.
Press twice:
the function is deactivated and the CD is
played in the normal mode.
-/-- button (17 on the remote control)
Press this button to select the songs above 9. Each subsequent
press increases the number by 10 (provided that there are more
than 10 tracks on the CD).
NOTE:
If the ID3 Tag function is activated the „-/--" button (17 on the
remote control) has no function.
SLEEP (14 on the remote control)
With the device switched on this sets the period in 10-minute
steps from 90 to 10 minutes after which the device switches to
standby. Press the button repeatedly until the required duration
is shown in the display. With this function activated the word
SLEEP appears in the display. The device switches off auto-
matically after the set time.
In order to call up the remaining time press the SLEEP button.
This time can also be subsequently shortened or switched off
again (00 Min).
TIMER (2)
You can set the device so that it switches on and off again at a
certain time.
1. Press the TIME button (2) fi ve times. The words „TIME ON"
appear in the display. Press the TIME button again. The
hours fi gure begins to fl ash.
2. Use the SKIP+
/SKIP-
switch-on time (hours).
3. Press the TIME button and use the SKIP+
buttons (8/4) to select the switch-on time (minutes).
4. When the TIME button is pressed the word „TIME OFF"
appears in the display. Press the TIME button again. The
hours fi gure begins to fl ash.
5. When setting the switch-off time, please proceed in the
same way as described above.
6. Press the TIME button again; the words „TIME OFF" appear
in the display. Now activate the timer (TIME ON) by pressing
the SKIP+
/SKIP-
7. Press the TIME button again. „ " appears in the display
and the timer is activated.

In order to deactivate the timer, press the TIME button 11 times
(TIME ON appears in the display) and then use the SKIP+
/SKIP-
buttons (8/4) to select „TIME OFF". The word
„ " disappears from the display.
NOTE:
Only possible in radio mode. Turn the device to TUNER mode
before you activate the timer.
ID3 button (13 on the remote control)
If it has been burned on the MP3 CD, the ID3-Tag information is
shown in the display as a moving image.
NOTE:
If the ID3 Tag function is activated the „-/--" button (17 on the
remote control) has no function.
Programmed Play
This can be used to program any desired sequence of tracks.
1. Press the STOP key (16/2).
2. Press the PROG key (10/6). „P00 001" (memory location)
appears in the display (13) together with the word PROG.
Use the SKIP+
I /SKIP- I
desired track and then press the PROG button (10/6) again.
The display changes to memory slot P01.
3. Select the next track with the SKIP+
and press the PROG key again. Repeat the procedure until
all the desired tracks are selected.
NOTE:
Once the storage capacity of the tracks to be programmed
has been reached, „FUL" fl ashes in the display.
4. Press the PLAY/PAUSE key (14/1). The playback starts.
The fi rst track number selected appears in the display. The
words „CD" and „PROG" appear in the display. Press this
button to pause briefl y the playback.
5. Press once the STOP key (16/2) to stop the playback while
retaining the program.
6. To resume the playback of the program press fi rst the
PROG key once and then the PLAY/PAUSE key.
7. To delete the program (in stop mode) fi rst press the PROG
button and then the STOP button. The PROG control lamp
goes out.
The device stops automatically once the entire sequence of pro-
grammed tracks is completed. The abbreviation PROG goes off
and the programmed order of tracks is deleted from the memory.
It is also possible to combine the programmed tracks with the
REPEAT function. After you have programmed and started the
device, please press the REPEAT/M+ button (15/5) up to three
times and then you can use the functions as described under
„REPEAT/M+".
Playing back Music in MP3 Format
With this device it is possible to play back pieces of music in
MP3 format. The device also supports all standard CD types:
CD, CD-RW, CD-R.
