5. BATTERY FITTING
A flashing display indicates that the battery is exhausted - replace as follows:
5.1.
Switch off and then remove battery cover by firmly sliding downwards. When the two tags are exposed, lift off the battery cover as
shown in fig.2A.
5.2.
Remove exhausted battery and fit replacement with positive side uppermost (fig.2B).
5.3.
Refit the battery cover by placing it over the battery in the position shown in fig.2A. Press lightly on the cover and push up to close the
compartment.
5.4.
Dispose of old battery in a safe and approved manner. Do not burn.
5.5.
If the display fails to alter when the slide is moved, remove the battery - wait at least 30 seconds and then refit the battery.
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be sorted, taken to
a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment. When the product becomes completely
unserviceable and requires disposal, drain any fluids (if applicable) into approved containers and dispose of the product and fluids
according to local regulations.
WEEE REGULATIONS
Dispose of this product at the end of its working life in compliance with the EU Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
(WEEE). When the product is no longer required, it must be disposed of in an environmentally protective way. Contact your local solid
waste authority for recycling information.
