Remove the 1-1/2"
pipe plug from the
Discharge Tee RDT-15.
Fill the pump until
water is standing in
the discharge tee.
This may take several
minutes.

Thread the 1-1/2"
pipe plug back
into the top of the
Discharge Tee RDT-15.

Start the motor. When the pump primes, you should
have water coming out of the sprinklers (existing
systems) or riser pipes/tees (new systems). If the pump
is 4 feet or more away from the well, it may take a few
minutes to prime. If you aren't getting water after 5
minutes, stop the motor, unscrew the plug from the
discharge tee, add more water, and try again.

WARNING: Risk of explosion if the pump runs for an
extended period with no water flow through it. Make
sure the discharge valve is open when the pump is
running. If the pump runs with no flow, it can overheat
and may explode, causing severe burns to anyone near

dry. Thread the sprinkler heads into the riser pipes or
tees after the pump and piping have been thoroughly
flushed.
