- Page 2 Locking The Articulation The MTH UP 4-12-2 was designed with an articulated chassis so that the model could be operated on layouts with 18” radius curves. This gives the opportunity for many more operators that normally would not be able own and operate this model an opportunity to do so.
- Page 3 4. Insert the moon shaped locking plate into the moon shaped locking as shown in Figures 4 & 5. Figure 4 Figure 5 5. Re-insert the front chassis pivot screw as shown in Fig 6. Figure 6 6. Re-install the boiler on the chassis. Make sure that no wires are pinched or cut in the process.
- Page 4 Classification Light Options The MTH HO UP 4-12-2 has lighted classification lamps on the smoke box front. The lamps are lighted using light pipes, whose physical requirements to operate properly require the lamps to be slightly out of position when compared to the prototype.
