Maintenance
Always clean and inspect the launch fiber connectors before making connections.
Use either of the following for cleaning:
Lint-free swabs or wipes moistened with isopropyl alcohol
Pre-moistened swabs or wipes approved for use on fiber connectors
Use a fiber microscope, such as the Fluke Networks OFTM-5352 FiberInspector
Video Probe, to inspect fiber endfaces for damage. If a launch fiber endface is
damaged, you should replace the launch fiber as it may cause unreliable test results.
