    Machine description 2.1 Machine name The HYDRAULIC PRESS described in this manual has been specifically designed for the use in operations that require a compression force. Basically it consists of three units: THE PRESS BODY THE MANUAL PUMP THE HYDRAULIC CYLINDER: designed for the specific needs of use of the press. In addition to the special attention paid to the internal surfaces and the stem, special low friction seals are used to optimize the operations that require particular precision in the pressing action.

    3.5 General safety rules The press must only be operated by trained and authorized personnel. DO NOT USE THE PRESS IN TRACTION BUT ONLY WITH COMPRESSION. " When not using the machine, even temporarily, make sure that it is not in the pressing phase which can be hazardous for you and for others.

    Transport and handling section Transport, handling and storage CAUTION: Disseminate the instructions described in this chapter to all personnel involved in the transport and handling of the machine. For safety reasons, the moving parts must be locked before transport. 4.2 Unpacking If the machine is supplied wrapped in nylon cloth, any accessories, spare parts and consumables will be packed in cardboard boxes and positioned above the work surface.

    Packaging and transport For the handling of the packed machine, as previously described (see section 4.2), it is necessary to use suitable lifts whose maximum lifting capacity must not be less than the total weight of the press. The packaging must be handled with a forklift truck or pallet jack. N.B.

    Installation section The machine must be installed in compliance with the safety regulations and instructions included in this chapter. Simple precautions are necessary for the positioning of the press. Always consider the safety aspect not only in relation to the work performed with the press but also to the hazards caused by other machines present in the workplace.

    After identifying the most suitable position, following the transport instructions of this section, use YELLOW paint (high resistance to abrasion) to trace a box on the pavement around the perimeter of the press as indicated by the diagram in Figure 3. The area thus highlighted will indicate the caution area by the lifting means and by the personnel present nearby.

If the cylinder reaches the end of the stroke with a uniform speed, it is not necessary to add oil. The press is equipped with a maximum pressure valve to protect the circuit (Figure 4). The valve is adjusted and then sealed by the manufacturer or marked with a yellow line.

    Cleaning PERFORM CLEANING OPERATIONS WEEKLY It is recommended to periodically clean the press in order to eliminate foreign bodies (e.g. dust, foreign and dirty substances, etc.) that could excessively wear out all the moving parts of the press.
