INSTALLATION
It can be advantageous to plumb a
312025 model water heater as a Push
Through water heater in some cases.
These installations can supply a single
point
non-tempered
non-ablution
outlet only. The temperature pressure
relief valve supplied with this model
must be fitted to the water heater.
REDUCING HEAT LOSSES
The cold water line to and the hot water line from the water heater must be
insulated in accordance with the requirements of Clauses G12 and H1 of the
New Zealand Building Code and AS/NZS 3500.4. The insulation must be
weatherproof and UV resistant if exposed.
SEISMIC RESTRAINT
New Zealand Building Code Clause B1.3.2 requires building elements (including
storage water heaters) to be adequately supported including support against
earthquake forces. This water heater must be restrained to protect against
seismic forces.
