• NTP Mode: used to select one of three mode types:
o Unicast: In Address IP1, enter the IP address of the NTP server.
In this case, it is the clock that calls the NTP server.
Furthermore, you can make a redundancy (if the first server does not respond, then the
second one is called, etc.). This is why you can enter up to five server addresses (IP Address
1/2/3/4/5).
The "Periodicity" field sets the frequency with which the clock calls the configured NTP servers.
o Multicast: In this case, the NTP server broadcasts the time to the Multicast address given to it.
The Multicast address of the clients must be the same as that entered on the server.
By default, Bodet products transmit and receive using the Multicast address: 239.192.54.1
The Multicast addresses are included between 224.0.0.0 and 239.255.255.255.
o By DHCP: Same as unicast mode except that the NTP server addresses are retrieved
automatically via the DHCP server (setting option 42 on the DHCP server).
The tick box "Continue to display time after synchronisation failure" allows you to define the
behaviour of the clock after a loss of NTP synchronisation for 48 hours:
• In "continue to display" OFF mode, the clock hands are positioned at 12 o'clock.
• In "continue to display" ON mode, the clock continues to run on its internal time base.
The "Save" buttons are used to save any settings entered on this page.
