The 'LO' display on the Vive Comfort TP-N-701 thermostat may indicate a low temperature setpoint or a system issue. To fix this:
1. Check Temperature Setpoint: Ensure the cooling setpoint is set correctly using the up/down buttons. 2. Verify System Mode: Set the system switch to "COOL" instead of "HEAT" or "OFF." 3. Inspect Fan Mode: Set the fan switch to "AUTO" or "ON" as needed. 4. Ensure Proper Power: Replace the batteries with 2 high-quality AA alkaline batteries if the low battery indicator is displayed. 5. Check Outdoor Temperature: The cooling system should not be operated if the outdoor temperature is below 50°F (10°C). 6. Wait for Delay: If the system was recently turned off, wait a few minutes for the built-in delay to pass. 7. Confirm HVAC System Functionality: If the issue persists, check the cooling system for any faults or contact a professional.
If the thermostat still does not cool, further troubleshooting of the HVAC system may be required.
