Remove and discard the 2 center Bumper Spoiler bolts

remove & save associated j-clip nuts

Replace bolts with a low profile M6 cap head, Ford

Standard Part W711581S450B.

Insert from topside

Re-install j-clip nuts on to Spoiler

This improves winch roll winding by allowing the winch

rope to pass freely over the spoiler bolt.

Install the Y bracket and the oblique bracket using four washers, two 3/8 in (9.52 mm) bolts and nuts. • Leave retainers loose at this time. NOTE: Ensure to align the Y bracket and oblique bracket using the curve as a focus point and the Y bracket tang facing downwards.

Page 16 2020-CMY Super Duty Winch INSTALLATION (Continued) 17. Install the four rectangle nuts into the winch with the non-chamfered edge of the nut to face outward. A small piece of tape can be used to cover the opening to prevent the nuts from falling out during assembly.

Install the fairlead mounting bracket (with fairlead assembled) into the bumper opening over the winch using the inboard bumper bolts and retainer plate.
