8.3. SAFETY CHECK AND MAINTENANCE
The NOVAFON device does not require regular inspection or main-
tenance. To ensure safe operation, however, you should check the
device regularly for obvious damage. Please note that there may be
national laws that oblige you to carry out safety checks on the de-
vice. This does not generally apply to private individuals. If you have
any problems with your appliance either discard or return it to your
dealer.
8.4. DISPOSAL
This appliance must be disposed of in accordance to Federal and Lo-
cal State law(s).This appliance must never be disposed of with com-
mon household waste. For environmentally sound disposal, the user
is obligated to dispose of the old appliance at a designated collection
point for the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment. This
appliance is subject to EU Directive on Waste Electrical and Elec-
tronic Equipment (WEEE).

9. WARRANTY

From the date of delivery, we grant a warranty of 2 years (24 months)
for defects resulting from material or production defects. Warranty
coverage is subject to the presentation of a proof of purchase. The
battery, charging cable, power plug and the attachements is guar-
anteed for 6 months.
Excluded from the warranty: Damage due to improper use, normal
wear and tear and consumption (also valid for accessories).
The right of rescission (reversal of the purchase), reduction (discount
on the purchase price) or subsequent delivery is initially excluded.
However, you have a claim to reduction or conversion at your dis-
cretion if we do not remedy a defect that is subject to our warranty
within a reasonable period of time. Any damage caused by failure
to use the product in accordance with its intended use or resulting
from improper or unreasonable use or maintenance is not covered
by the warranty. Such damage is the sole responsibility of the user.
Failure to comply with this instruction manual will void the warranty.
Some states may not allow such limitation, so it may not apply to
you. This limited warranty gives you specific and you may have other
rights which may vary from state to state.
Get in touch with your dealer or supplier to claim warranty.

10. CUSTOMER SERVICE

NOVAFON appliance require precise adjustment. Consequently, any
necessary repairs must be performed exclusively by the NOVAFON
Customer Service. Please do not send in your defective appliance
without first contacting the dealer by telephone to report the damage
and determine the scope of the repair. The repair might be more
expensive than a new appliance. If, during the warranty period, the
repair of a appliance proves too costly, NOVAFON or its dealer will
offer a replacement appliance (to which a 24-months' limited war-
ranty period will apply).
