4. CONTRAINDICATIONS OR WHEN NOT TO USE THE APPLIANCE
The NOVAFON vibration sound wave appliance is intended for the
application on individual body parts. Do not use the appliance if one
or more of the following apply to you:
· Open wounds / eczema (in the body region to be treated)
· Arteriosclerosis (in the body region being treated)
· Current episodes of epilepsy
· Pregnancy
· Implants (in the body region being treated)
· Heart pacemakers
· Thromboses (in the body region being treated)
· Brain pacemakers
· Cardiac arrhythmia
· Tumours, cancerous and not cancerous
· Acute inflammations (in the body region being treated)
· Acute episodes of inflammatory diseases

SIDE EFFECTS:

Please note that in rare cases the following side effects may occur:
· Increased pain / unpleasant sensation
· Nausea / dizziness
· Skin irritation
· Reflex / involuntary muscle contractions
If you are unsure or have any doubts whether the NOVAFON vibration
sound wave appliance is suitable for you, consult your physician or
treating therapist.
If you suffer from diabetes consult your physician before use.
Immediately stop session if you start feeling nauseous, dizzy or oth-
erwise unwell or if pain in the treated area increases. Do not restart
sessions without your physician's approval.
If your skin is reddening under the application and goes away within
30 minutes of the session ending, this is no reason to worry, as the
vibration is stimulating blood circulation which is causing the red-
ness. If the reddening of the skin stays after 30 minutes or is painful,
consult your physician.
DO NOT USE for treating pains or swellings of unknown origin. In
that case consult a medical professional for clarification and diag-
nosis.
5. OPERATION
5.1. FIRST USE
Charge the appliance fully before using it for the first time (section
5.3). Switch on the NOVAFON appliance by pressing the on/off button
once. The appliance starts at 100 Hz ( ) by default. Pressing the but-
ton again decreases the frequency to 50 Hz ( ). The current frequen-
cy selection is indicated by the LED display (frequencies). Press the
button a third time to switch off the appliance.
5.2. ADJUSTING THE INTENSITY
Adjust the intensity by pressing the Intensity Setting Button
repeatedly. You can choose between three intensity levels: light ( ),
