3) After scanning, the free channels are indi-

cates the number of free channels, in this case
12 channels In group 1, 14 channels are avail-
able, i e 2 channels are already being used
4) The knob PUSH / CONTROL can be used to
select each of the 6 groups
5) To select a free channel, press the knob so
that the channel number is highlighted Then
turn the knob When the knob is turned, the
channels already used are skipped
6) Press the button SETUP to save the selected
channel for reception
4.5.3.2 Scanning the channels of a group
1) In the selection menu for scanning (fig 16),
turn the knob PUSH / CONTROL to select the
menu item

2) Turn the knob PUSH / CONTROL to select the
group
3) Scanning of a group will always start with the
first channel which is automatically selected
To check the first channel, press the knob
PUSH / CONTROL After the check, the dis-
play will show
the channel is not already used If the channel
is used, it will be skipped and the next free
channel will be indicated
Scan Current Group

Press Setup to Save.
4) To check the next channel, press the button
PUSH / CONTROL once again
5) Press the button SETUP to save the channel
for reception
4.5.4 Saving preferred frequencies to user-
defined groups
It is possible to save up to 24 preferred frequen-
cies to six user-defined groups

1) Call up the following menu via the menu item

2) The first menu item is selected Press the knob
PUSH / CONTROL to call up the following set-
ting menu:

3) The group number is selected Turn the knob
PUSH / CONTROL to select the group (U1– U6)
to which the frequency is to be saved
4) Press the knob PUSH / CONTROL to select the
channel number Turn the knob to select the
channel number within the group to which
the frequency is to be saved
5) Press the knob PUSH / CONTROL once again:
and then
in the line in which the frequency is set, the
digits before the decimal point are selected
Turn the knob to set the transmission fre-
quency in steps of 1 MHz
6) For fine adjustment in steps of 0 025 MHz,
press the knob once again so that the digits
after the decimal point are highlighted Then
turn the knob
7) Press the button SETUP to save the frequency
selected
8) To save further frequencies, repeat steps 2 – 7
9) To exit all menus, press the button EXIT twice
4.5.4.1 Calling up a channel from a
user-defined group
The channels from user-defined groups are called
up via the menu item
described in chapter 4 5 2 User-defined groups
are marked with the letter
number When the knob PUSH / CONTROL is
turned clockwise, they will appear after group 6;
when it is turned counter-clockwise, they will ap-
pear before group 1
of the highest menu level
