5 Usage

5.1 Safety information

Risk of Damage
Moisture may penetrate into a damaged hand
control, which could lead to failure of the device.
– Always perform a visual inspection of the
product for external damage before each use.
– If the housing of the hand control is damaged
or shows cracks, do not use the hand control.
CAUTION!
Risk of Pinching
– Do not insert fingers into the guide between
the seat plate and the backrest.
– Do not grab under the seat plate or between
the lifting scissors.
Risk of Damage
Overloading the bath lift can lead to damage to
the device or prevent lifting.
– Do not overload the bath lift and observe the
specifications on the identification label or refer
to 10 Technical Data, page 26 with regard to
its load capacity.
Recharge the battery regularly, refer to 3.4 Charging
Battery in 4 Setup, page 11.
For more information about the operating conditions,
refer to 10.4 Environmental Parameters, page 27.

5.2 Controlling Bath Lift

The bath lift can be moved in the following directions:
The bath lift is controlled via the hand control, either by
the user or an assistant.
With a fully charged battery, the bath lift can
perform 22 bathing operations with a load of 140 kg.

Risk of Damage
– The hand control may only be used when
backrest is properly installed and in upright
position.
