    In addition to its message waiting function, the Message Waiting Indicator is used to indicate the security state of the M2016S Secure Set. The red triangle lights steadily when the set is not secure – typically when the handset is off-hook, when the set is ringing, or anytime the handset/piezo relays are connected.

Placing a call on hold Use the Hold feature to place a call on hold. The Hold feature enables you to answer a call on a second line without disconnecting from your original call.

    M2016S Secure Set features Transferring calls Use the Call Transfer feature to redirect a call to a third party. To transfer a call to another number: 1. Press Transfer. The other party is on † hold and you hear dial tone.

    M2016S Secure Set features Ring Again If you receive a busy tone or if the person you are trying to reach does not answer, Ring Again automatically redials the number and notifies you when that person is free or uses their set.

    M2016S Secure Set features Stored Number The Stored Number feature enables you to store a single telephone number that you can dial quickly. You can easily change the stored number. To store a number when you're not on a call: 1.

Press Stored Number. º Group Call Group Call automatically calls members of a predefined group, one at a time, until they have all answered.     M2016S Secure Set display The 2-line by 24-character display makes the most sophisticated features on your M2016S Secure Set easy to use. Screen prompts take you step-by-step through procedures and keep you informed on the status of various features such as Call Forward and Make Set Busy. Your display can be tilted forward or back to an angle that allows you to see it best.
