Method 1: Extending Your WiFi Network Using Web UI

Power on the Repeater
Plug the repeater into a power outlet
near the router in the same room.
Wait until the PWR LED turns solid blue.

Relocate The Repeater
For better performance, follow the on-screen tips or
the steps below to relocate your repeater.

. Plug the repeater into an outlet halfway between
the router/modem and the WiFi dead zone.
The location you choose must be within the range
of your existing WiFi network.

. Wait until the Signal LED turns blue. If not, relocate
the repeater closer to the router/modem.

Method 2: Extending Your WiFi Network Using WPS

Power on the Repeater
Plug the repeater into a power
outlet near the router in the
same room.
Wait until the PWR LED turns
solid blue.

Extend Your WiFi Network

. Connect your WiFi device to the repeater's
WiFi network Tenda_EXT.
Ensure that the Mobile Data (if any)
function of your WiFi device is disabled.

. Start a web browser, enter re.tenda.cn or
192.168.0.254 in the address bar to log in.

Extend Your WiFi Network

. Press the WPS button on the router and within 2 minutes press the WPS button
on the repeater.

. Wait until the Signal LED on the repeater turns solid blue or red. If not, try Method 1.
The repeater has started.
Solid on
Blinking The repeater is starting.
The repeater is not powered on.
Off
On A WPS connection has been established.
Blinking A WPS connection is being established.
Off The WPS function is disabled.
The repeater has connected to your existing WiFi
Solid blue
router/modem, and its position is proper.
The repeater is too far away from the router/modem.
Solid red
Relocate the repeater closer to the router/modem.
The repeater does not connect to your WiFi router/

. Select a WiFi network (SSID) you want to
extend.

. Enter the password of the WiFi network
you want to extend. Set your repeater's
SSID (optional), and click Extend.

The extended WiFi network

Wait a moment, the Extended successfully!
page appears.

Connect To The Internet
Connect your WiFi devices to the repeater
using the SSIDs set by yourself, or your
router's/modem's SSID with the suffix _EXT,
and using the WiFi password same as your
existing WiFi network.
You can use Method 2 if your router/modem has a WPS button, which
may be indicated by , , or
