ELECTRIC STARTING SYSTEM

STARTING CIRCUIT OPERATION

The starting circuit on this model consists of
the starter motor, starter relay, starting circuit
cut-off relay, rear brake lever switch, and neu-
tral switch. If the main switch is on and engine
stop switch is in the RUN position, the starter
motor can be operated only if:
The starting circuit cut-off relay prevents the
starter from operating when the select lever is
in gear or in reverse and the rear brake lever is
free. In this instance, the starting circuit cut-off
relay is off so that current cannot reach the
starter motor.

4 Start switch
5 Starting circuit cut-off relay
6 Engine stop switch
7 Rear brake lever switch
8 Neutral switch
