Inspecting the Revolving Turret for Wear of the Mechanical Detents The photos below show the revolving turret from a BH2-5RE modular revolving nosepiece which has severely worn mechanical detents, as a result of extensive use and a poor service history. The revolving turret is made of brass (a soft metal), with a hard, corrosion/wear-resistant layer of dull, silver-colored plating on the exposed surface. -
