OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR
ROLLING CODE ALARM RCA-2
HIGH SECURITY SWITCH
Located in the rear of the siren is a master switch. This can
be used to turn the system on/off. Bear in mind that if you
unplug the alarm while it is armed, the built in backup
battery will continue to power the system.
BACK UP BATTERY TEST
The RCA is fitted with an automatic battery backup test feature. When you are driving the
vehicle dash led will normally be off. If the backup battery is flat then the dash led will flash
with the ignition on.
EMERGENCY PANIC BUTTON OPERATED VIA REMOTE
The panic feature is activated by pressing the right button on the remote control
transmitter for 3 seconds. This sets off the siren. To cancel "panic", press the
right button on the transmitter for 1 second. NOTE: Panic does not work when
the ignition is on by requirement of Australian Law (EPA).
TO ARM/DISARM ALARM
Alarm is activated by pressing the button on remote control transmitter. The blinkers will flash once,
and siren will beep once, dash LED-light will stay on for 20 seconds then flash, ALARM IS NOW
ON. To deactivate alarm, press the right button again. Blinkers will flash twice and the siren will
beep twice. ALARM IS OFF.

ALARM TRIGGER MEMORY
If the alarm was triggered by an intruder while your alarm was set, it will beep the siren four times
on disarm.

The RCA-2 is fitted with remote boot release. This feature enables the user to unlock the boot by
pressing the left button for 3 seconds. The boot will unlock and the alarm will disarm without
use the RIGHT button.

BATTERY BACKUP TEST The RCA-2 alarm is fitted with an intelligent Backup Battery test feature and rechargeable battery. Every time you drive your vehicle the battery is automatically charged and tested and if it is discharged and will not charge, the dash LED will flash quickly when the ignition is turned on.
  • Page 4 FEATURES USED BY INSTALLERS / SERVICEMEN 1. INSTALLER / SERVICE MODE Service mode is accessed by turning the keyswitch to the off position. Installer mode is accessed by turning the keyswitch to off then back to the on position. The installer test mode is used to quickly test and fault find, it is used to check each sector input when door, hood, aux or voltage drop is triggered.

    CURRENT SENSING CURRENT SENSING The RCA alarm is fitted standard with current sensing. This feature with the Rhino Australian made alarms has been proven to be very reliable. If removal of this feature is necessary, this can be achieved by connecting the pink wire coming out from the tubing to the red power wire + 12V.
