Character Builder
Here's a slick application for your wand. If you've ever tried building special characters on the 82143A Printer using
know how long it takes to specify which dots in the 7×7 matrix to turn on and which to leave off. Using this program and the 6×6 dot
matrix of specialized bar code on the facing page, a corresponding 6×6 dot matrix character can be built by simply scanning the
''dots'' that are ro be turned on. The specialized bar code ''dots'' are simply two digit numbers, 11 through 66, that comprise the row
and column information
Notes:
1.
Because of printer buffer limitations, a 6×6 matrix is used rather than a 7×7 matrix.
2.
To run this program a printer and one memory module are required.
Instructions:
1.
memory and load the program by scanning the bar code on

Using the graphic aid on the facing page, scan

When the prompt
W: READY
4.
Repeat step 3 until all ''dots'' are specified. Then scan
graphic of the character.
Example:
Use the wand to build a ''flying goose.''
