- Page 2 RS-232↔422 Opto-Isolator RS-232 PC (IC457A-F or IC457A-M) The opto-isolator has a four-screw block connector on one side (the RS-422 interface) and a DB25 connector (the RS-232 interface) on the other. If you’re connecting the opto-isolator to a PC or an RS-232 device with a DB25 port, attach the opto- isolator directly to the RS-232 equipment.
