Hello! My 2E is not powering on anymore. The lock is not on. The time window lights up but goes off after 2 mins. Pressing any of the 3 points on the Power button does not activate the sound. Up until a week or so ago, it did; but needed several presses to start. Perhaps the power button is not connecting anymore. Any ideas I can try? Thanks, Cynthia

1. Check the Power Source: Ensure the radio is connected to a working 120V AC power outlet using the included power cord or has fresh “D” size NiMH or alkaline batteries installed. Lithium batteries are not recommended.
2. Inspect the Lock Switch: If the Lock switch is engaged (pushed up), it disables all functions. Push it down to release the lock.
3. Reset the Radio: If the radio is unresponsive due to static electricity, unusual key presses, or a power disruption, use the end of a paper clip to press the reset button. Note that this will erase the clock time and stored stations.
4. Check the Battery Power Level: Rechargeable batteries may show a lower power level due to their lower voltage. Try replacing or recharging the batteries if needed.
If the radio still does not power on after these steps, further technical support may be required.

@Mr. Anderson ~ Hello! My 2E is not powering on anymore. It has excellent supply with good batteries or the AC cord. The lock is NOT on. The time window lights up but goes off after 2 mins. It now reads "C" in Morse Code. Pressing any of the 3 points on the Power button does not activate the sound. Up until a week or so ago, it did; but needed several presses to start. Perhaps the power button is not connecting anymore. I did a reset; still no power. Any other ideas I can try? Thanks, Cynthia Brown, Brockton, MA
