Functions

Protecting the air conditioner
• Compressor protection: if the compressor was stopped, it can only
be restarted after a few minutes.
• Anti Cold Air: the appliance is designed not to emit cold air in heating
mode if the heat exchanger of the indoor unit is in one of the following
three phases and the set temperature has not yet been reached:
– if heating mode has just been started,
– during de-icing,
– when heating at low temperatures.
• Defrosting: frost may form on the outdoor unit during heating mode
when the outside temperature is low and the humidity is high. Frost
can reduce the heating efficiency. When this happens, the unit ends
the heating operation automatically and starts defrosting. Defrosting
may take between 4 and 10 minutes, depending on how much frost is
on the outdoor unit.
Auto restart
The system stops immediately if a power failure occurs. The ON indicator
starts flashing when the power supply is restored. Product types with
auto-restart function resume operation automatically. Readjustment is
not required. Alternatively, you can bring the unit back into operation
manually by pressing the on/off switch on the remote control.
16
Changeover to Fan Mode when the set temperature is reached
When the preset temperature is reached, the compressor stops
automatically and switches to Fan Mode. The compressor only restarts
once the temperature in the room rises above the set temperature
(cooling mode) or falls below it (heating mode).
Heating mode
The outdoor unit generates heat in heating mode and releases it via the
indoor unit. Much higher heat losses occur in heating mode at very cold
temperatures. We recommend using an additional wall hung boiler if the
air conditioning system is not heating sufficiently.

Operating temperature range

Room temperature
Cooling
17 °C ... 32 °C
Heating
0 °C ... 30 °C
Dehumidifying
10 °C ... 32 °C
Table 2
The built-in protection device may prevent the appliance from operating
at temperatures outside the above range.
If the humidity is more than 80 %, condensation may form at the air
outlet. To prevent this, open the vertical ventilation flaps as wide as
possible (vertical relative to the ground) and set a high fan output.
