structions carefully and make sure you have understood its content.

Read the operating manual thoroughly. Comply with all the safety notes and instructions

Before operating the device, familiarise yourself with the handling of the device. Keep the

operating manual in a safe place for future reference.
Only use the device according to the purpose described in this operating manual. An improper
•
use can lead to personal injury and/ or damage of objects.
Keep the working area tidy and well lit at all times. An untidy and too dark working area
•
increases the risk of injury.
The device can only be operated by people with limited physical, sensory and mental abilities
•
or lack of knowledge if they have been instructed on how to use the device by someone re -
sponsible for their health and safety and are being supervised by that person.
Children must not use the device and need to be supervised around when being around it, to
•
ensure that they do not play with it.
Do not expose the device to rain. Do not use it in a wet or humid surrounding.

Do not use the device near flammable or explosive liquids or gases.
•
Keep the device away from other people and animals.
•
Ensure that the electricity cable is not damaged. Keep it away from sharp or oily surfaces and

corners. Do not pull the plug out of the socket by the cable.
Do not use the device if the electricity cable seems damaged in any way. The damaged cable

needs to be exchanged by a qualified technician.
Maintain and service the device regularly. If the device has any damages, it can no longer by

used. All maintenance work needs to be carried out by a qualified technician only.
Do not use the device if you are tired or are under the influence of alcohol, drugs or
•
medicaments affecting your consciousness.
At all times wear adequate protective gear (working shoes, protective gloves, eye and hearing
•
protection, etc.). Never use the device if you are wearing shorts or sandals or are barefoot.
Pay attention to the rotating blades and avoid any contact with them, whilst these are in
•
motion. Never touch the blades when these are rotating!
Attention!
Carrying out maintenance work or altering the device can only be done when the
•
motor is switched off and the plug of the device is removed from the socket. The blades need
to stand still and must not turn any longer.
Visually examine the device before every use for damage. Ensure that the blades are
•
attached accordingly and not damaged.
Before starting to work, check the area needing to be processed and remove all pollutants
•
(twigs, stones, etc.), which could get caught in the blades and could be flung up.
Keep the electricity cable away from the blades at all times!
•

The device needs to be held with both hands on the handles. Keep the handles clean, free
•
from oils and grease.
During operation keep a minimum distance to the device.
•
Only turn the device on when your feet have a safety distance to the blades.
•
Ensure you have a stable and secure stand.
•
Never lift or transport the device when the engine is still running.
•
Store the device in a dry place, out of the reach from children.
