MAINTENANCE (FOR QUALIFIED PERSONNEL)
All maintenance operations and service visits should be performed by a competent person (who have the
skills required by the applicable norms in force).
Before calling your Technical Servicing Centre, check that the fault is not due to lack of water or power failure.
WARNING: disconnect the appliance from the mains before conducting any maintenance work.
Emptying the appliance
The appliance must be emptied if it is to be left unused for a long period and/or in premises subject to frost.
To drain the appliance, proceed as follows:
- disconnect the appliance from the electricity mains;
- close the cut-off valve, if installed (Fig. 2, Ref. D), or the main household water valve, if not;
- turn on the hot water tap (wash basin or bathtub);
- open the drain valve (Fig. 2, Rif.B).
Replacing parts (when necessary)
Remove the plastic housing to access the electrical equipment (Fig. 7a/b/c). lntervene on the power
board (Ref. Z) by disconnecting the cables (Ref. C, P) and remove the screws. lntervene on the control
panel by fi rst removing the power board. The display board is attached to the product through two fi xing
side fl aps (Fig. 4a Ref. A) accessible from inside the lower cover.
Release the control panel fi xing fl aps using a fl at screwdriver to pry upon the same (Fig. 4b) and release
them from the pins, simultaneously push it outwards to free it from the seat. Repeat for both fi xing fl aps.
Pay special attention not to damage the plastic fl aps as breaking them will not allow for correct assembly
of the panel in its seat, resulting in possible aesthetic defects. After removing the control panel, you can
disconnect the connectors of the rod carrying sensors and power board.
To access the sensor mounting rods (Fig. 7a/b/c, Rif. K) disconnect the cables and remove them from their
seats, taking care not to bend them too much. When reassembling these parts, make sure that all the compo-
nents are put back in their original positions.
To work on the heating elements and anodes, fi rst drain the appliance.
The models equipped with a user interface shown in fi gures 8 and 9, have two dry resistances, which can be
replaced without emptying the device, because they are not in direct contact with water.
To replace a malfunctioning heating element (identifi ed with a tester) disconnect the cable (Fig. 4c, Rif. X)
and undo the screw (Fig. 4c, Rif. V). Remove the damaged heating element and replace it.
To access the anodes, fi rst empty out the appliance.
Undo the bolts (Fig. 5a/b, Rif. C) and remove the fl anges (Fig. 5a/b, Rif. F). The fl anges are associated
with both heating elements and anodes. During reassembly, make sure that the sensor mounting rods
and heating elements are restored to their original positions (Fig. 7a/b/c and 5a/b). Make sure that the
fl ange plate marked H.E.1 or H.E.2 is installed in the position marked in the same way. Replace the fl ange
gasket every time you reassemble the fl ange (Fig. 6a/b, Rif. Z).
CAUTION! Swapping the heating elements will cause the appliance to malfunction. Work on one element
at a time, and only disassemble the second one after the fi rst one has been reinstalled.
Use only original parts from authorized service centres authorized by the manufacturer.
