Contamination can reduce the flow rate of the fans and lead to thermal over‐
load of the energy storage devices.
When the energy storage devices are operated in a dirty environment, the
availability of the system is increased by cleaning the fans and cooling fins at
regular intervals.
When designing the machine, consider the accessibility of the energy storage
device and fan for maintenance work.
The use of the fan under the following conditions is expressly not suitable:
Delivery of air which contains abrasive particles
Delivery of air which has a strongly corroding effect, e.g., salt mist
Delivery of air which contains a high dust load, e.g., extraction of saw
dust
Delivery of combustible gases/particles
Use of the ventilator as a technical safety component or as a component
assuming safety-relevant functions
Liquid-cooled energy storage devices may only operated on a closed coolant
circuit with heat exchanger. The coolant flow direction can be arbitrarily se‐
lected. The cooling circuit in the energy storage device is made of stainless
steel.
Expand the cooling circuit with anticorrosive. Please observe the information
in the project planning manual
