    All measurements are approximate and may vary from the actual sizes. BenQ recommends that if you intend to permanently install the projector, you should physically test the projection size and distance using the actual projector in situ before you permanently install it, so as to make allowance for this projector's optical characteristics.

    • Many notebooks do not turn on their external video ports when connected to a projector. Usually a key combo like FN + F3 or CRT/LCD key turns the external display on/off. Locate a function key labeled CRT/ LCD or a function key with a monitor symbol on the notebook. Press FN and the labeled function key simultaneously.

    Adjusting the projected image Adjusting the projection angle The projector is equipped 2 adjuster feet. These adjusters change the image height and projection angle. To adjust the projector: Screw the adjuster feet to fine-tune the horizontal angle. To retract the feet, screw the adjuster feet in a reverse direction.

    Securing the projector Using a security cable lock The projector has to be installed in a safe place to prevent theft. Otherwise, purchase a lock, such as the Kensington lock, to secure the projector. You can locate a Kensington lock slot on the projector. A Kensington security cable lock is usually a combination of key(s) and the lock.

When starting up, the projector automatically searches for the available signals. Be sure the Quick Auto Search function in the SOURCE menu is On if you want the projector to automatically search for the signals.

    Hiding the image In order to draw the audience's full attention to the presenter, you can use ECO BLANK on the projector or remote control to hide the screen image. The word “ECO BLANK” appears in the corner of the screen while the image is hidden. When this function is activated with an audio input connected, the audio can still be heard.
