Cleaning of the transport bag

The transport bag can be removed for cleaning. For this purpose, open the hook and loop fastener on the top and bot-
tom side of the frame. Wash the transport bag by hand in warm water and use mild textile cleaners.
After drying you can attach the transport bag to the frame. Start with the upper hook and loop fasteners, followed by
the lower ones. For a better handling, put the ORTHOSCOOT
Disinfection
Disinfect the NH1 according to medical instructions. Special attention is to be paid to all components that come in con-
tact with parts of the body (handles and kneepads). Also disinfect all other components extensively (steering assembly,
exterior shell and frame). For disinfecting we refer to commercial products (VAH/RKI listed), always without chloride
additives!
How do I recognize wear and tear and what do I have to do?
The ORTHOSCOOT
has been designed for a long-
®
term use and is construed for multiple uses.
With respect to the development, we put a special
emphasis on selecting components which are easy to
maintain. Nevertheless, some components are sub-
ject to natural wear and tear. Depending on the inten-
sity of use, these components should be checked at
regular intervals and be replaced by ORTHOSCOOT
GmbH if necessary.

Explanations of wear parts

Tires
Due to abrasion, wheels are subject to natural wear
and tear. Condition of the road surface, weight of
the user and period of use are factors which have a,
sometimes strong, impact on this process.
Compared to the rear wheel, the front wheels are
less subject to wear and tear. However, there may be
increased abrasion due to strong braking at the rear
wheel.
We recommend changing the wheel as soon as there
is a worn surface of a width of more than 30 mm.
Furthermore, the wheel must be changed as soon as
deep cracks on the tread are visible.
