CARE AND MAINTENANCE

All maintenance should only be carried out by a qualified service technician.
Cleaning
Before cleaning or performing any maintenance, remove the battery pack from the tool. For safe
and proper operation, always keep the tool and its ventilation slots clean.
Always use only a soft, dry cloth to clean your hammer drill. Never use detergent or alcohol.
15. Chuck Removal
The chuck (B) can be removed and replaced.
a. Lock the variable-speed trigger switch (E) by placing
the direction-of-rotation selector (F) in the center
position.
b. Open the chuck jaws.
c. Use a screwdriver to remove the chuck screw by
turning it in a clockwise direction.
d. Insert a 5/16-in. or larger hex key (not included) into
the chuck of the hammer drill and securely tighten
the chuck jaws around the hex key.
e. Tap the hex key sharply with a mallet (not included)
in a counterclockwise direction. This will loosen the
chuck for easy removal.
NOTICE: The chuck screw has left handed threads. Attach a new chuck to the spindle and tighten
the chuck screw.

TROUBLESHOOTING

WARNING
• Set the direction-of-rotation selector (F) to the "center-lock" position and detach the battery pack
from the hammer drill before performing troubleshooting procedures.
PROBLEM
The hammer drill does
not work.
Bit cannot be installed.
Motor overheating.
The LED worklight
blinks rapidly.
The LED worklight
blinks slowly.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Battery pack is depleted.
Chuck is not released.
Bit does not fit the chuck.
Cooling vents are
obstructed.
The tool has stopped
working to protect internal
circuits.
The battery charge is very
low.

CORRECTIVE ACTION
Charge the battery pack.
Release the chuck.
Use an appropriate bit or use a suitable
adaptor.
Clean and clear vents. Do not cover
vents with hand during operation.
Release the trigger switch, wait for the
tool to cool down, then start the tool
again.
Charge the battery.
