Before using for the fi rst time please clean the machine as described under
„Cleaning" below.
Unwind the mains lead on the base and assemble the machine according to
the depiction of the individual parts.
1. Then place the juice container (6) on to the motor block in such a way that
the spout is located in the recess so that it is fl ush (illustration A). Now put
the fi lter sieve on to the juice container (illustration B). Please ensure that the
guide mechanism in the fi lter sieve is in line with the cut-out section of the
juice container so that the fi lter sieve is correctly positioned.
2. Select the pressing cone according to the size of the fruit.
Replacing and removing the conical press
The small pressing cone (3) is placed directly on the guide mandrel until
it is fl ush with the fi lter sieve (4) (illustration C).
The large pressing cone (2) is attached to the small cone, which serves
as an adapter, so that it is fl ush (illustration D). The two presses can be
separated by pulling.
Large press cone = large citrus fruit (oranges, grapefruit, etc.)
Small pres cone = small citrus fruit (lemons, limes, etc.)
3. Insert the plug in a duly installed 230V/50Hz socket.
4. Position a glass under the spout of the juice container. Press the spout
downwards in order to open the outlet aperture.
5. Halve the citrus fruit in the middle. Hold the lemon squeezer with one hand
while pressing the fruit halves on the press cone with the other. The machine
starts turning automatically (illustration E). Results can be improved by
releasing the pressure and then pressing again.
6. CAUTION: Do not use the device for more than 5 minutes!
7. The juice now fl ows into the glass. The flesh of the fruit and the pips remain in
the filter.
8. Before removing the glass, press the spout upwards in order to seal the
aperture of the juice container and prevent any drips.
9. Pull the plug out of the socket after use and clean the device as described
below.
Mains lead take-up
The mains lead can be wound up on the base.
