Problem
Defective motor bearing.

Possible Cause
Corrective Action
Replace.
Check all bolts, screws and fasteners.
De-energize fan. Turn prop and check tip clearance. Do
they appear to be approximately the same?
NOTE: They can be a little different without any
problems.
If they are significantly different, contact yout dealer for
more information.
Contact local utility supplier.
Replace.
Replace fuse or reset circuit breaker. Check for
disconnection, cut or damaged power cord.
Repair/replace/clean as necessary.
Repair/replace/clean as necessary.
Check line voltage at motor, verify wiring. Check with
local utility supplier for possible line problems.
Check belt tension & belt condition, See figures 33. 34,
and 35 for reference.
Clean unit.
