Reverse Sensing System

The Reverse Sensing System can audibly alert the driver to certain
objects close to the rear of the vehicle when the driver is slowly
backing up.
Automatically activates when the vehicle is placed into Reverse
Detects what the driver may not see, such as other vehicles,
fences, walls, concrete posts, plant containers, fire hydrants, etc.
Enables drivers to use better judgment in tight parking situations
and provides information to drivers to help reduce damage from
hitting objects at low speeds
Sensors in the vehicle's rear bumper transmit signals
When the signals contact an object, they bounce back to these
sensors on the vehicle
Within milliseconds, the system calculates the distance to the
object based on the time it took the signal to travel from the
object back to the sensor
If the distance is within approximately 6 feet, an audible warning
tone (beeps) is sounded
The system continues to send out and monitor signals, adjusting the warning beeps according to the object's distance from the vehicle
The beeps increase in frequency as the vehicle gets closer to the object until they become a continuous tone at less than approximately
10 inches from the object

Wiper-activated Headlamps

Wiper-activated headlamps automatically turn on the headlamps
and taillamps when the windshield wipers are being used — helping
the driver see, and the vehicle to be seen, in inclement weather.
Requires autolamp (automatic on/off headlamps)
When the headlamp switch is in auto position and the
windshield wipers are activated in any mode except mist or
wash, the vehicle headlamps will automatically turn on within
3 seconds
Once the front wipers are deactivated, the headlamps will
automatically turn off within 30 seconds
