Adaptive Cruise Control
 >
Features
Comfort/Convenience
Adaptive cruise control keeps a constant speed without having to work the brake or accelerator pedals — plus it automatically maintains a
comfortable distance from vehicles ahead.
Forward collision warning with brake support alerts the driver if it senses a potential collision with the vehicle ahead. Warning lights flash on the
windshield and an alert sounds inside the cabin. If the driver doesn't react, and a collision is imminent, the brakes will pre-charge to help the
driver brake as quickly as possible.
This system includes both Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection and Forward Collision Warning with Brake Support
Adaptive Cruise Control
Includes 4 Gap Distance Settings programmable with the gap button on the steering wheel

Uses advanced radar technology to monitor traffic ahead to scan for slower vehicles
System will slow the vehicle to adapt for the current traffic conditions and maintain the pre-set distance between vehicles
Once traffic clears, system will automatically return to the speed set with the cruise control system
Automatic Emergency Braking
Designed to detect objects in front of the vehicle and constantly calculate the braking force required to avoid a collision
If the estimated braking force exceeds a given level without the driver responding, the danger of a collision is considered imminent and the
system automatically reduces throttle input and applies the vehicle brakes
Designed for speeds up to 31 mph
Forward Collision Warning with Brake Support
Warns the driver if there is a risk of a frontal collision with a red light-emitting diode (LED) "head-up" display (HUD) on the windshield and
audible warning tone, which also mutes the audio system
Includes Alert Sensitivity
There are 3 setting choices (High, Normal and Low), which are remembered between key cycles
The 3 settings make different assumptions about how quickly a driver would respond to a slower-moving vehicle AND how hard a driver
would brake to avoid contacting a slower-moving vehicle
High sensitivity
Intended for new or more cautious/conservative drivers
Provides an earlier warning than the other settings and introduces additional warnings
When the MyKey feature is enabled, the system will default to this setting
Normal sensitivity
Intended to provide a balance between appropriate warnings and additional warnings for most drivers under most driving conditions
A new vehicle is set to this setting
Low sensitivity
Intended for more aggressive drivers or drivers who drive in more dense driving conditions (i.e., city driving), as this setting rarely
introduces additional warnings
Uses sensors in the front of the vehicle to help detect vehicles moving and traveling in the same direction
Warning light flashes on the windshield and an alert sounds inside the cabin to alert the driver of a possible frontal collision
If the driver doesn't react, and a collision is imminent, the brakes will pre-charge to provide full responsiveness when the driver brakes. This
helps the driver achieve maximum braking as quickly as possible
