    Depending on the transceiver manufacturer, QSFP+ transceivers use bail-latch or pull-tab types of locking and extractor mechanisms. The following figure shows the pull-tab release mechanism used on Avaya QSFP+ transceivers. Other release mechanisms do exist. In the following figure, the bore plug remains in the QSFP+.
